The COBB Tuning Stainless Steel Turbo Heatshield has been designed to be a direct replacement of the factory turbo heat shield. Although the factory unit gets the job done, it just looks bland. The COBB Tuning unit complements the engine bay with the stainless steel design that provides protection and a cleaner look.
The job of the heatshield is to deflect heat generated from the turbocharger, and to help prevent heat soak on the intercooler, and to protect surrounding components in the engine bay for the heat of the turbocharger.
Installation is simple. Just use the same hardware used to hold your factory heat shield in place, and simply bolt in the new COBB unit.
